As Fall approaches, we’re celebrating the importance of family togetherness with Holiday Family Portraits. We always knew that life can pass by us in just the blink of an eye. Since the pandemic however, I think it takes slowing down to truly treasure the time we have together. So, this year’s holiday is a little extra special for us as we reunite with our families and spend the holidays together.
If boudoir has been on your mind, listen to Melissa’s why. I know that to many, a boudoir session can seem so intimidating but I’m here to remind you that boudoir is for every age and body-type.
Like many, my sweet client Melissa came into the studio looking for a confidence revamp. After years of choosing everyone but her, she finally decided to take the leap and indulge in the undeniable beauty and power of boudoir. Click the video below to hear more of what inspired her to treat herself to a boudoir shoot.
“The Woman who is my best friend, my teacher, my everything: Mom”
Mother’s Day is a special holiday. It’s a day when we get to honor the sacrifice and love of mothers everywhere, taking the time to remember the significance of motherhood and its impact in our lives. The women who shape our lives, whether a mom, grandma or favorite aunt, are the women who have stood by us from the very first day. They offer comfort, encouragement and care, and provide for us in more ways than we could name.
That’s why we like to pay special tribute to the moms in our lives on Mother’s Day, by showcasing their amazing bond and selfless love.
For mothers everywhere, a child will always be her baby no matter how old they get or wherever life may take them. The beautiful joy of motherhood and what makes moms so special for every child is the part where they love us unconditionally from our first steps.
As we continue to grow, a special bond is formed between mothers and their kiddos. As personality starts to form, so too does a special friendship.
This is called the “Laugh Factor” stage. It is the best of times, but also the most challenging of times. Mom’s give us extra patience during our younger years and guidance into who we are to become.
As we keep growing into who we are as young adults, we encounter new life experiences, and this is when our mothers become a shoulder to cry on, teach us right and wrong, and sacrifice everything to be at our recitals, ball games and plays to show us how much they love and support us.
One of the hardest phases in life is to watch your baby grow up. Although filled with much joy, for moms, when their children grow into adults and build their own families, it’s time to let go. But there is a new kind of friendship formed when this happens and we begin to see all that our moms have done for us over the years.
So to every mom out there, we want to take the opportunity to say:
For all the sacrifices you have made, for all the unconditional support and love you have shown, for all of the lessons you have taught, for all the friendship you have given…
…we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done.

Spring is a beautiful time of the year. It’s a season full of changes to the world around us, as well as within us. It’s a time of the year when we’re shedding the old and stepping into the new – a new wardrobe, life, goals, physique, and style. Boudoir photography is a wonderful opportunity year-round to celebrate who you are, but Spring is particularly special because it’s full of vibrant colors and renewed energy, creating a new aesthetic for outdoor photography.
Choosing an outdoor springtime location for a boudoir photo shoot can be a difficult task. Although there are diverse plants and flowers on display, cultural events and activities happening such as music festivals, walks, outdoor yoga, and celebratory events. These can make it difficult to find the perfect aesthetic undisrupted and private.
A garden, however, is one of the most perfect locations for an outdoor spring-themed boudoir session- it’s private and provides a tranquil backdrop, and is usually full of beautiful colors and aesthetics, making it a great space for portraits. But, not everyone has a green thumb or has access to a garden that provides the right look for a boudoir shoot. If you’re not up for wandering, you’ll be happy to know that we are launching our spring promo that features an outdoor boudoir session in my own home and garden.
The Garden Goddess session is an opportunity to get beautiful boudoir portraits taken with a colorful backdrop and beautiful natural lighting that will bring out your inner goddess. Imagine sipping a Mimosa with the wind in your hair and the sun on your back with your favorite music playing – that’s the tranquil experience our Garden Goddess promo event offers.
Many clients have absolutely loved their outdoor boudoir photoshoots in my home garden studio for that very reason, as well as the beautifully vibrant flowers and ivy, day bedding, fountains, and swings that it has to offer in a private setting.
We’re so excited to launch this year’s Garden Goddess spring promotion that we’ve put together a video to give you a glimpse of this beautiful setting that will transport you, relax you, and bring out your inner goddess.
Kicking off a new year brings so many possibilities. It’s one of our favorite times of the year when we see so many entrepreneurs and businesses with such momentum and energy for the growth to come. Among the many steps you’ll be taking to set your business up for success this year is considering how your customers will perceive you in what promises to be a year of comebacks.
Each brand has its own story to tell – one of overcoming obstacles and providing value for the clients and customers it serves. As a business, it’s important that your customers and clients see you beyond just a product they buy and instead see you as a brand or person they want as part of their daily life. Customers want to see who your brand is and what it values, and the best way to convey that is through connecting with them as a person.
That’s where we can help!
When considering how you’ll use photography and branding to tell your story for your business, you should consider what’s important in a photographer. Imperative to your success is the ability of your branding photographer to help you use props, angles, tone and style to tell the story of your brand and connect with your customers quickly. Choosing your aesthetic appropriately can make all the difference in what your photos convey, so it’s important to get this right. Wardrobe choice, location choice and more should all be consistent across your marketing channels, as well as consistent with what your audience expects to see from you.
Branding photography is truly one of the best ways to establish your brand and story and is one of the most important assets that contributes to your success and brand growth. As you begin setting the stage for your success this year, we invite you to book with us and take advantage of a limited time special.
When you book through January, you’ll receive five additional complementary images (value $625) with your shoot. (This offer does not apply to business headshots or previously booked sessions.)
