We are sharing our Bunny Miso this Spring for a special Orange County childrens portraits mini-session in our studio. I love new things, so it’s no surprise that Spring is my favorite season. Flowers are blooming, the air is fresh and bunny love abounds! You might not have a bunny of your own, so come give a little love to Miso, he just might give you some bunny love right back.

I notice that often times I capture the most magical moments in the simplest ways. A few carrots and a friendly bundle of bunny on your lap all washed in warm natural light is bound to bring a smile to your face. Thanks to Miso and Bella for sharing their moment with us. One of my favorites is Orange County Pet Photography. When it’s time to remember our furry friends I like to capture the moment out in the open!
Whether its a lavender field, a gorgeous sandy beach, in your own bathtub, or on my private garden patio…
all are places that set you free -and capture stunning images of yourself, your family and the pets you love.
What do these locations have in common? They can be outrageous, serene, beautiful or thought-provoking…
Recently, one of our clients lost their beloved family dog. They ordered a special wall portrait from a previous shoot to remember him by.

The time for Orange County family beach photography is here. That glorious season of the year when we don’t have to rush the kid’s to school and time seems to go a little slower. Some of my best memories are playing in the ocean with my family, making sand castles and just watching other people in their moments of joy. I love shooting family portraits in Laguna Beach or any picturesque Orange County beach at this time of year. The best lighting is right before sunset, its golden soft light is so flattering and has a magical quality that seems to add even more love to the photography.

When a beautiful strawberry red head comes into the studio with a trunk of clothes and a big beautiful prom dress, you’ know it’s going to be amazing. Boy was it. Seriously this shoot was amazing.
This was such a beautiful Senior Portraits shoot that Lori did. Not only was this girl stunning to photograph, she was super sweet and nice. Her and Lori had such a fun time doing this shoot. The beautiful blanket that she has was given to her when she was born. Her mom wanted Lori to use it in the shoot. It looks so beautiful wrapped around her, don’t you think?
I also love that she brought in her prom dress. I think it looks so beautiful with the sunlight shinning through it. Looks a little angelic to me. I also love the way the sun picks up different colors in the dress. So beautiful.
This sweet girl has big plans after graduation. She’s heading off to college in Massachusetts. I’m sure that her parents and younger siblings are going to miss her so much. If it helps just a little, they’ll have beautiful photos of their daughter to keep her close to them.
We wish her all the luck on the next chapter in her life.

How do I prepare for a photo shoot? I get this question daily. Here’s what I tell our clients. The most important thing is to keep it simple, relax and have fun. This applies to everyone for any type of shoot.
How do I prepare for a boudoir shoot? Do I bring my own wardrobe? Do I do my own hair & make-up? Do I spray tan? Can I bring a friend for support? All of these are great questions. You’ll want to bring a beautiful black bra & panties with you and thigh high’s if you want to wear them. If you’re doing a bridal or a softer look, bring a beautiful white (or light colored) bra and panties and thigh highs. Feel free to bring a sexy bustier for your shoot. Over the years, we’ve invested in several beautiful items that you are welcome to use. We’ve got beautiful wraps, jewelry, hats, gloves and gorgeous feather boas.
We have a large wardrobe, hair and make-up room. You can upgrade your shoot to include hair & make-up if you would like. We ask that all clients come with their hair styled as they normally wear it and we will add soft curls & spray to their hair. If we are doing your make-up, we like to do the full make-up for you. We’ve got every colors for every skin tone. Our photographers are also highly trained make-up artists.
Then there’s the spray tan question. No, no, no, please don’t spray tan. Spray tans on occasion can be nice but never before a shoot. You just don’t know how the color will turn out or how even the coverage will be. You also wouldn’t want any of the color to rub off on your clothes or the sheets during the shoot.
We know how important it is to bring a friend for moral support. Boudoir shoots can be a little intimidating if you haven’t done one before. Please feel free to bring a friend with you however, for your sake, we don’t allow friends, boyfriends or husbands on the set. We want you to feel your most comfortable and not self conscious.
Last but not least, don’t wait until your body is in “perfect shape”. Most of us never feel like we’re in the best shape. Trust that our photographers will play upon your finest features and create beautiful works of art for you.
