For more than 30 years, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to help families of all shapes and sizes, and from all walks of life, capture their love for each other in gorgeous family portraiture. It didn’t take me long to realize that I wasn’t just taking family portraits, I was capturing priceless memories and their journey of growth together. Being a part of these moments brings me so much joy: from Boudoir sessions with brides in love to engagement sessions with couples; from maternity and newborn sessions to growing family portrait shoots – each session reminds me of the beauty and love that is unique to each family. 

Something I always try to keep in mind when photographing families is that no two families are alike in the ways they express love. Each family has its own unique style, series of inside jokes, list of traditions, and shared dreams. Capturing their story and the individualized bond between family members is my goal as a photographer. Through our discovery and planning process, I customize each session based on your family’s one-of-a-kind connection, taking into consideration things like hobbies, preferred location, and even favorite memories together. I also make sure to consider your home decor, because where’s the fun in a family portrait if you can’t hang it anywhere? Your family’s smiling faces deserve to be the focal point in your home, acting as a daily reminder of your moments of joy together. 

These moments are precious, but they go by too quickly. Before you know it your newborn will be walking, your toddler will be starting middle school, and the freshman in high school will suddenly be a freshman in college. Make sure to savor these moments while you can.
